Photo: Instagram/Dan Hooker UFC lightweight fan favorite Dan Hooker has been pushing to fight on the UFC 305 card on August 17, and his wish seems to have been granted. The event is set to take place in Perth, Western Australia, allowing Hooker to fight closer to home. Hooker hasn't fought since July 2023, when he defeated Jalin Turner at UFC 290. After that fight, Hooker broke his hand and needed surgery. Recently, Hooker revealed that he turned down a big fight offer to hold out for UFC 305. He shared that his management team and the UFC preferred him to fight elsewhere, but he insisted on Perth. The French fighter Hooker mentioned is Benoit Saint-Denis, who will now fight Renato Moicano in Paris. Hooker is expected to fight number five-ranked lightweight Mateusz Gamrot at UFC 305.
