Sacramento Kings Extend Coach Mike Brown's Contract

Photo: Instagram/Mike Brown The Sacramento Kings and head coach Mike Brown have agreed to a three-year contract extension through the 2026-27 season, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski. Shams Charania of The Athletic and Stadium reports the deal is worth $30 million. Brown's base salary will be $8.5 million annually, with the chance to earn up to $10 million per year with bonuses. Brown joined the Kings in the 2022-23 season and was named NBA Coach of the Year in his first year. He previously served as an associate head coach for the Golden State Warriors for six years. Brown also had two stints as head coach of the Cleveland Cavaliers (2005-2010, 2013-2014) and a term with the Los Angeles Lakers (2011-2012).
