Sunderland Footballer Jack Diamond Charged With Rape And Sexual Assault, Club Suspends Him And Loan Agreement Terminated

Diamond, who came up through the Sunderland academy, has also had his season-long loan at Lincoln City terminated with immediate effect. The charges relate to an incident that occurred in the Washington area in May of last year. The Northumbria Police launched an investigation, which resulted in Diamond's arrest. He has since been charged with one count of rape and one count of sexual assault.
