He reportedly fell in his hotel room , shocking fans around the world. Payne had been vacationing in South America after attending a concert by his former bandmate, Niall Horan. Payne rose to fame on "The X Factor" in 2010, joining One Direction with Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson, and Zayn Malik. Despite finishing third on the show, the band became one of the best-selling groups ever, releasing five albums and selling out stadium tours worldwide. After Zayn left the group in 2015, One Direction went on hiatus, and Payne launched a solo career, with his hit song "Strip That Down" in 2017. At the time of his death, Liam Payne was reportedly worth $70 million. According to reports, just before his tragic fall, Payne had a tense conversation in Spanish with a woman in his hotel lobby, allegedly offering her $20,000. ...
