Photo: Axl Rose / Instagram   Guns N’ Roses have announced that two new songs, “Atlas” and “Nothin’,” will be released on December 2.  The tracks arrive alongside news of their 2026 world tour and mark their first new music since 2023’s “The General” and “Perhaps.”  Both songs reportedly date back to the Chinese Democracy  sessions from 2008, similar to the band’s post-reunion singles “Absurd” and “Hard Skool.”  Photo: Axl Rose / Instagram “Atlas” is believed to be a reworked version of the unreleased song “Atlas Shrugged,” which featured Queen’s Brian May on guitar in early demos.  “Nothin’” was first mentioned by bassist Duff McKagan at a Fender event in Tokyo earlier this year.  A press release says both tracks will join recent singles in the band’s live setlists, alongside classic hits and deep cuts.  These releases bring Guns N’ Roses’ post-reunion song count to six. Photo: Brian May / Instagram   Queen guitarist Brian May has admitted he was never fully happy with the band’s first single, “ Keep Yourself Alive . ” Despite its success and lasting appeal, May said the studio version lost the natural feel of the demo that first caught their energy.  He explained that the original demo was more relaxed and alive, and he’s believed ever since that making demos can sometimes hurt the final recording.  Photo: Brian May / Instagram   The song, from Queen’s 1973 debut album, introduced the world to their layered sound and powerful vocals.  May, who built many of Queen’s trademark guitar sounds, felt the track didn’t capture the same magic as their early take.  He once said, “The more you chase it, the further it gets away.” Still, fans embraced the song as a strong start to the band’s legendary career.  Even if May wasn’t satisfied, “Keep Yourself Alive” remains a classic moment in rock history.
