In an interview with Deadline , Affleck, now 52, and his longtime friend and collaborator, Matt Damon, 54, talked about the business of filmmaking and their production company, Artists Equity. They shared thoughts on how actors are paid compared to others who work on movies. Affleck explained how he earned a lot for his role in Gigli , a comedy where he starred alongside Jennifer Lopez. However, the movie did not perform well, and the studio lost money. "That doesn’t sit right with me," Affleck said.
