Responding to the story on Thursday, Durant dismissed it as false. Durant reacted to a clip from the Roommates Show on X, saying, "Another podcast lie. It was nothing but respect and love out there that night, didn't feel unsafe for one second." Fat Joe had shared on the podcast that Durant's impressive performance led to a chase out of the park, stating, "He scored like 82 points in the third quarter.
