His $16.5 million team option for next season is reportedly expected to be picked up. Although Beasley experienced a shooting slump in March, he quickly bounced back and exploded for 24 points against the New Orleans Pelicans . The Lakers have until June 29 to decide on his option. If they don't pick it up, they would have to find another consistent shooter to replace him.
