Sacramento Kings Extend Coach Mike Brown's Contract

Photo: Instagram/Mike Brown The Sacramento Kings and head coach Mike Brown have agreed to a three-year contract extension through the 2026-27 season, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski. Shams Charania of The Athletic and Stadium reports the deal is worth $30 million. Brown's base salary will be $8.5 million annually, with the chance to earn up to $10 million per year with bonuses. Brown joined the Kings in the 2022-23 season and was named NBA Coach of the Year in his first year. He previously served as an associate head coach for the Golden State Warriors for six years. Brown also had two stints as head coach of the Cleveland Cavaliers (2005-2010, 2013-2014) and a term with the Los Angeles Lakers (2011-2012). Orlando Magic's Paolo Banchero Takes NBA By Storm, Wins Rookie of The Year With Impressive Stats

Photo: Instagram/Paolo Banchero Paolo Banchero , the first pick in last year's NBA draft, has been named Rookie of the Year after receiving an impressive 98 out of 100 first-place votes. He dominated the award thanks to his excellent performance this season, averaging 20 points per game and helping the Orlando Magic improve from 22 to 34 wins, putting them in contention for a play-in berth. Banchero had 15 games of at least 25 points and 40 games of at least 20 points, both of which were the most among rookies this season.
