In an interview with GQ Spain , Shakira opened up about how her latest album, Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran (Women Don’t Cry Anymore), played a big part in her healing process. “For months, I stayed silent after the breakup, trying to grieve. But it wasn’t until I started writing music that I could truly begin healing,” she said. “Grief isn’t a straight path. It has its ups and downs.” The breakup also changed her view of love. Shakira admitted, “The love of a partner let me down.
