Cleaves explained that he thought of the name after watching LeBron play during his rookie season. When asked about LeBron's first year, Cleaves said, "It was different. I gave him the nickname Heaven Sent because he was so good right from the start. I thought, 'He can't be that good.' But then, practicing with him, I realized he was the real deal. He had an amazing feel for the game and could do anything he wanted on the court."
