Although Russell has been a valuable addition to the team, injuries have kept him out of a few games and hindered the development of their pick-and-roll plays. His $16.5 million team option for next season is reportedly expected to be picked up. Beasley has been a great fit next to Anthony Davis and LeBron James , providing a much-needed 3-point shooting threat for the Lakers. While James is expected to be out for a couple more weeks, Russell's return seems imminent.
