The fight took place on September 14, 2024, and Dvalishvili dominated O’Malley with his strong wrestling skills, earning a unanimous decision win after five rounds. Initially, O’Malley accepted his defeat, much like he did in his earlier losses to Marlon “Chito” Vera in 2020 and Pedro Munhoz in 2022. However, O'Malley has now taken to social media, claiming that after watching the fight again, he believes he won two of the last three rounds.  On Twitter, he jokingly said, “Suga State athletic commission BREAKING NEWS: Suga won 2 of the last 3 rounds!! Despite a third judge scoring the fight in favor of Vera, there was little doubt that Sandhagen had won the fight in convincing fashion. He out-landed Vera 193 to 71 in total strikes and secured three takedowns. Sandhagen executed his game plan to perfection, taking Vera down in the first and second rounds and using feints, footwork, and takedowns to keep him guessing in the later rounds.
