Fury and Wilder faced each other three times, with nine knockdowns between them.  Their final bout, in October 2021, ended in an 11th-round knockout by Fury. Reflecting on their fights, Fury shared that their battles took a heavy toll on both fighters.  He said on the Pound for Pound Podcast, "Between me and Wilder, there were ten knockdowns.
