Khabib Nurmagomedov Reveals Justin Gaethje Hit Him Hardest In UFC Career

Photo: Khabib Nurmagomedov / Instagram Khabib Nurmagomedov , one of the greatest fighters in UFC history, has faced many tough opponents. But when it comes to punching power, he says no one hit harder than Justin Gaethje . The two fought at UFC 254 on October 24, 2020. It was Khabib’s last fight before retiring. During the bout, Gaethje landed heavy punches and kicks that Khabib admitted were painful. “He hit like a truck,” Khabib said on Mike Tyson ’s Hotboxin' podcast. “His left hook, right hook, uppercut—they all hurt. But I made him hit me because I knew he didn’t like wrestling. My plan was to tire him out by standing with him, then take him to the ground and finish the fight.” Photo: Khabib Nurmagomedov / Instagram Khabib ended the fight with a triangle choke submission. He explained he chose the move out of respect for Gaethje’s parents, who were watching. “I didn’t want to break his arm in front of his parents,” Khabib said. “So I put him to sleep instead. That’s better.” D...

Dan Hooker Criticizes Michael Chandler For BMF Title Callout After UFC 309 Loss

Photo: Dan Hooker, Michael Chandler / Instagram   UFC lightweight contender Dan Hooker is not impressed with Michael Chandler ’s post-fight callout following his loss at UFC 309. Chandler, who was defeated by Charles Oliveira last Saturday, used his microphone time to call out potential opponents, including Conor McGregor and Max Holloway for the BMF title. Chandler, 38, had hoped a win over Oliveira would bring him closer to an undisputed title fight. However, after his loss, he pivoted to other options, suggesting a fight with Holloway for the BMF belt or reigniting his rivalry with McGregor. “I had a bunch of callouts,” Chandler said in the Octagon. “Maybe Max Holloway for the BMF belt. Or, Conor McGregor... Come back and beat me, if you can.” Photo: Dan Hooker / Instagram   Hooker, who was knocked out by Chandler in 2021 but has since climbed the lightweight rankings, dismissed Chandler’s BMF title ambitions. “I don’t like Chandler calling for the BMF title,” Hooker...

Already a UFC star, Holloway's performance reached new heights in this memorable bout. Facing off against Justin Gaethje for the special "BMF" title, Holloway put on a dominant show. Conor McGregor Calls Out Justin Gaethje After UFC 291: 'I'll Slap You Around' In Fiery Twitter Exchange

Photo: Instagram/Conor McGregor Conor McGregor wasted no time in reigniting his feud with Justin Gaethje after Gaethje's impressive victory over Dustin Poirier , crowning him the UFC's second BMF champion. Despite McGregor's two-year absence due to a broken leg, he's eager to face Gaethje and expressed his intentions on Twitter, stating he'll "slap [Gaethje] around" and asserting his claim as the real BMF. The rivalry between McGregor and Gaethje dates back to 2019 when they were supposed to fight, but an injury thwarted the bout. This recent exchange on social media indicates that tensions between them are far from subsiding. McGregor is also set to face Michael Chandler later in the year, though official confirmation awaits his USADA testing completion.
