McGregor Could Fight Next Year, Says UFC Boss Dana White

Photo: Conor McGregor / Instagram   UFC President Dana White has said that if Conor McGregor returns to fighting, it will happen sometime next year. McGregor hasn’t fought in the UFC since 2021, when he broke his leg in a loss to Dustin Poirier . A planned comeback fight in June against Michael Chandler was canceled after McGregor broke his toe. McGregor’s name has been in the news recently for a different reason. Last month, an Irish jury found him liable for assault in a civil case. The jury ruled McGregor assaulted Nikita Hand at a Dublin hotel in 2018 and ordered him to pay nearly €250,000 in damages and legal fees. McGregor denied the accusations and has said he will appeal the decision. At a news conference after UFC 310, White declined to comment on the case. When asked about McGregor’s UFC status, White said, “He hasn’t been fighting here in how long? If he does fight, it will be sometime next year.” Photo: Conor McGregor / Instagram   The UFC has an Athlete Conduc...

Alex Pereira Predicts Jon Jones Will Beat Tom Aspinall In UFC Unification Fight

Photo: Alex Pereira / Instagram   Alex Pereira believes Jon Jones will come out on top in his next fight. The reigning heavyweight champion recently defended his title by knocking out Stipe Miocic at UFC 309 on November 16. After the win, Jones hinted at wanting to fight Pereira, but UFC President Dana White confirmed his next fight will be a unification bout with interim heavyweight champ Tom Aspinall . Now, Pereira has publicly shared his prediction, backing Jones to win the highly anticipated showdown. Speaking with TNT Sports at UFC 310 in Las Vegas, Pereira praised Jones' experience as the deciding factor. Photo: Alex Pereira / Instagram   "I think Jon Jones has a lot of experience on his side," Pereira said. "Some people say, ‘Aspinall this, Aspinall that,’ but it comes down to experience. Jon Jones is a seasoned guy, he’s been there, so I think he wins.” Tom Aspinall, who won the interim title at UFC 295, is eager to face Jones and is confident the fight w...

Tom Aspinall Unsure if Jon Jones Will Fight Him Next

Photo: Tom Aspinall / Instagram   UFC interim heavyweight champ Tom Aspinall wants one thing: to become the undisputed heavyweight champion. To do that, he’ll need to face Jon Jones in a title unification fight. But Aspinall isn’t confident that Jones will step into the Octagon with him. “It’s the only fight to make,” Aspinall said on Tuesday while promoting his campaign with Jose Cuervo. “Now that Jones’ fight with [ Stipe Miocic ] is done, it’s time to move on with the division. They told me it won’t be long, which is positive.” Jones, 37, defended his title against Miocic in November at UFC 309. UFC CEO Dana White has said Jones’ next fight should be against Aspinall to unify the belts. However, Jones has hinted at other plans, including retirement or a fight with light heavyweight champ Alex Pereira . Photo: Jon Jones, Tom Aspinall / Instagram   Jones recently said he’s negotiating a return for 2025 but didn’t confirm if Aspinall would be his opponent. Aspinall, 31, is ...

Francis Ngannou Challenges Jon Jones For UFC Megafight

Photo: Francis Ngannou / Instagram   The UFC’s heavyweight division has been buzzing since Jon Jones captured the title, but former champ Francis Ngannou isn’t staying silent. Ngannou, who left the UFC in early 2022, recently sent a strong message to Jones, sparking hopes for a dream matchup. Ngannou posted on social media, writing, "Blessings make haters uncomfortable, but they can't change it. There's only one fight, the right fight that will multiply your blessings. #NgannouVSJones." The post came after Jones responded to criticism from fans accusing him of avoiding top contenders like Tom Aspinall . Jones, who defeated Stipe Miocic last month with a spinning back kick in the third round, addressed the critics, saying, "Crazy how being called a 'duck' pays better than most of your Internet tough guys will make in a lifetime. Two fights in four years and still one of the biggest names in the sport? That’s not ducking, that’s winning." Photo: Fr...

Conor McGregor Faces New $8 Million Lawsuit Over Whiskey Deal

Photo: Conor McGregor / Instagram   Former UFC champion Conor McGregor is headed back to court in January for a lawsuit involving his former friend and training partner, Artem Lobov. The case revolves around Proper 12 Irish Whiskey , a brand that helped McGregor become one of the wealthiest athletes in mixed martial arts. Lobov, a former UFC fighter, claims the idea for Proper 12 was his and says he spent years helping to build the business. He is now suing McGregor for $8 million, claiming he deserves a share of the profits. McGregor sold the whiskey brand in 2021 for an estimated $600 million, but Lobov says he didn’t get anything from the deal. Lobov told reporters he was the one who convinced McGregor to pursue Irish whiskey instead of vodka. “I did my research, met with distilleries, and put together a great deal,” Lobov said. He says he introduced McGregor and his management team to the contacts he had developed, believing they had an agreement. Photo: Conor McGregor / Instag...

Proper 12 Ends Partnership With Conor McGregor After Court Verdict

Photo: Conor McGregor / Instagram   Proper 12 Irish Whiskey has officially cut ties with UFC star Conor McGregor . Proximo Spirits, the company that owns Proper 12, announced the decision this week. McGregor’s name and image will no longer be used to market the whiskey, effective immediately. “Since 2021, Proximo Spirits has been the 100% owner of Proper No. 12 Irish Whiskey,” the company said in a statement. “Going forward, we do not plan to use Mr. McGregor’s name and likeness in the marketing of the brand.” Proximo bought the brand from McGregor and his partners in 2021 for $600 million but continued to use his name to promote the product. Photo: Conor McGregor / Instagram   The decision comes shortly after  McGregor lost a sexual assault civil case in an Irish court. Following the verdict, retailers in the UK and Ireland began pulling Proper 12 from their shelves. Dana White Admits He Was Wrong About Mike Tyson's Fight With Jake Paul

Photo: Dana White / Instagram   The fight between Jake Paul and Mike Tyson was one of the biggest events of the year. Despite some technical issues and mixed reactions, everyone was talking about it. UFC President Dana White , who had doubts about Tyson’s ability to fight, admitted that he was wrong. At a press conference, White explained that he expected Tyson, who is in his late 50s, to be knocked out quickly. "Mike was right, and I was wrong," White said. He had been worried about Tyson getting hurt, especially after urging him not to fight Roy Jones Jr. for the same reasons. White also had concerns about Tyson's fight with Jake Paul. "I told him, 'Mike, you're basically 60 years old,'" White said. Tyson, however, wasn’t worried. He responded, saying Paul wasn’t good enough to beat him. “You honestly think this kid’s going to do anything to me?” Tyson asked. Alex Pereira Criticizes UFC Rankings After Jon Jones Overtakes Him

Photo: Alex Pereira / Instagram   Alex Pereira is upset after Jon Jones moved ahead of him in the UFC pound-for-pound rankings. Jones jumped to No. 2 after his big win over Stipe Miocic at UFC 309, pushing Pereira down to No. 3. The change has caused some tension, but Pereira’s complaint isn’t about being knocked down in the rankings—it’s about how it happened. The UFC rankings have caused some controversy lately, with UFC President Dana White criticizing the ranking system and its inconsistent updates. Pereira, the light heavyweight champion, posted on Instagram about the situation. He added a "1" to Jon Jones’ ranking and a "2" to Islam Makhachev , the current No. 1 fighter, saying, "With this change, I would be already happy." Despite the ranking shake-up, Pereira has shown respect for Jones, and Jones has expressed interest in fighting Pereira, which has excited fans. However, UFC President Dana White isn’t fully on board with the idea of a Jones v...

Conor McGregor Responds To Dana White’s Big Fight Claims

Photo: Conor McGregor / Instagram   Conor McGregor thinks UFC boss Dana White might be overhyping things. After UFC 309, White called a possible 2025 heavyweight fight between Jon Jones and Tom Aspinall the biggest in UFC history. This claim is bold, especially since McGregor holds the record for the biggest UFC fight. His 2018 clash with Khabib Nurmagomedov sold 2.4 million pay-per-views. During the UFC 309 post-fight press conference, White praised Jon Jones and hinted at a fight with Tom Aspinall, who has been eager to face Jones all year. Even though Jones has shown little interest, White believes the fight will happen and break records. Photo: Conor McGregor / Instagram   “It would be the biggest heavyweight fight in UFC history,” White said. “And probably the biggest fight we’ve ever done.” A clip of White’s comments spread online, and McGregor reacted briefly, posting “Now, now” alongside the video on X (formerly Twitter) before deleting it. McGregor hasn’t fou...

"He's one of the greatest heavyweights ever," White told ESPN. "You can't deny Stipe." Photo: Stipe Miocic / Instagram Miocic joined the UFC in 2011 and quickly rose through the ranks. Despite early setbacks, like losses to Stefan Struve and Junior dos Santos, he bounced back with wins over Roy Nelson, Gabriel Gonzaga, and more. Photo: Conor McGregor (Instagram) Conor McGregor hasn’t fought in over three years, but many UFC fans hope he will come back in 2025. McGregor’s last fight was in 2021, when he lost to Dustin Poirier twice.  Since then, McGregor has focused on his business ventures, including his Forged Irish Stout and his involvement with Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC). UFC president Dana White thinks McGregor will return to the UFC next year.  McGregor was supposed to fight Michael Chandler earlier this year after their appearance on The Ultimate Fighter , but an injury forced McGregor to pull out. Chandler has since moved on to other potential fights, like a rematch with Charles Oliveira . Jake Paul Wants Jon Jones To Fight Tom Aspinall For Big Money

Photo: Jake Paul (Instagram) Jake Paul is trying to make a big fight happen between UFC fighters Jon Jones and Tom Aspinall . He believes that if enough money is on the table, Jones would agree to the fight. Tom Aspinall has been vocal about wanting to fight Jones ever since he won the interim heavyweight title by knocking out Sergei Pavlovich in November 2023. Aspinall hoped to face Jones in a title unification bout.  However, Jones hasn't been interested, preferring instead to focus on his next fight with Stipe Miocic , which could be his last before retiring. Some think Jones is avoiding Aspinall because he doesn't want to risk his legacy.  Photo: Jake Paul (Instagram) But Jake Paul has a different opinion. He says Jones isn't afraid of anyone; he just needs the right financial incentive.   Paul thinks a $25 million guaranteed payday, plus pay-per-view earnings, would be enough to get Jones in the ring with Aspinall. Jon Jones doesn’t dodge anyone. He knows exactly w...

UFC President Dana White even tried to bring him back to the octagon to achieve a perfect 30-0 record, a dream of Khabib's late father. However, Khabib stayed retired. Recently, there was talk of Khabib trying something new: a boxing match against Floyd Mayweather . The idea excited many, especially since such a fight could have earned Khabib a huge payday—up to $100 million. But during an appearance on the "Inspire Me" podcast on August 25, Khabib made it clear that he wasn’t interested. “Right now, no. Right now, you know, it’s like everybody know, I am not a boxer,” he said. Unlike his rival Conor McGregor , who fought Mayweather in 2017 and reportedly earned around $130 million, Khabib isn’t tempted by the money. He pointed out that even though people doubt his striking ability, he has always dominated in the octagon. In 29 MMA fights, includ...

Dana White Announces UFC’s Split With Undefeated Fighter

Photo: Instagram/Dana White   After a lackluster fight night at UFC 304, UFC CEO Dana White had some strong words. One fighter who felt his anger was Mohammed Mokaev. Mokaev, who fought Manel Kape in a match many found boring, revealed that it was his last fight under his current contract. When asked if Mokaev would return, White replied, “I think the PFL is gonna get a great undefeated guy.” This comment made it clear that White had no interest in re-signing Mokaev, essentially sending him to the UFC's competitor, the Professional Fighters League (PFL). Photo: Instagram/Dana White   Despite Mokaev winning his fight, the lack of excitement in the bout and his difficult attitude in business dealings seemed to seal his fate.  The UFC’s flyweight division, already struggling, did not benefit from the uneventful Mokaev-Kape fight. 🚨 Dana White confirms that the UFC do not plan to extend Muhammad Mokaev's contract ❌ #UFC304 pic.twitter.com/pPIg1HYOTZ — UFC on TNT Sports (@u...
