Retired NBA All-Star Gilbert Arenas believes this rule has unfairly impacted Embiid's career. On his podcast, Arenas said that Embiid often outperforms Nikola Jokic , another top center in the league. "He lost his MVP because of a rule. He's probably the best player in the league, and he and Jokic are fighting for the top spot," Arenas said.
