"I could feed him ideas, and he could bring them to life like nobody else," Shinoda said. "It was amazing. I didn’t know anything different because I hadn't worked with many others at that time. Armstrong, formerly of the band Dead Sara, caught Shinoda's attention with her song "Weatherman." He said, "The way she sings, the passion is what drives her. Photo: Chester Bennington (Instagram) Susan Eubanks, the mother of late Linkin Park singer Chester Bennington, is upset with the band’s recent decisions. In an interview with Rolling Stone , she shared her feelings of betrayal after learning that Linkin Park had reunited and added a new lead singer, Emily Armstrong from the band Dead Sara, without informing her. Eubanks said the band promised to let her know if they ever decided to reunite. However, she only found out through a Google search and later watched a livestream where Armstrong sang some of Chester’s parts. She was very upset, feeling that Armstrong didn’t do justice to her son’s songs and that it seemed like the band was trying to erase Chester’s memory. Eubanks also mentioned that during Chester’s life, guitarist Mike Shinoda had threatened to replace him with a female singer if he ever left the band.
