This goes back to their legendary 2015 boxing match, which set records with 4.6 million pay-per-view buys and brought in huge paychecks for both fighters. Mayweather reportedly earned $180 million, while Pacquiao made $120 million. Years after their fight, rumors about a rematch began to swirl. Pacquiao even hinted at it publicly, stepping into a Japanese ring to suggest the match was close. But Mayweather was quick to say Pacquiao's comments were out of line. “He shouldn’t have said my name,” Mayweather told The Pivot Podcast.
