The track, from Roan’s 2023 album The Rise And Fall Of A Midwest Princess, has been nominated for multiple Grammy Awards. Before playing the song, Franz Ferdinand’s frontman Alex Kapranos praised Roan, saying, “It’s just an amazing song by an incredible artist. I don’t know anyone who doesn’t love her music. This song’s incredible, so we’re going to play it.” The band added their signature indie style to the pop track during the performance. Franz Ferdinand is gearing up to release their new album, The Human Fear, on January 10, 2025, through Domino. The album, produced by Mark Ralph, includes 11 songs that explore human fears and how overcoming them shapes us.
