After the win, Jones hinted at wanting to fight Pereira, but UFC President Dana White confirmed his next fight will be a unification bout with interim heavyweight champ Tom Aspinall . Now, Pereira has publicly shared his prediction, backing Jones to win the highly anticipated showdown. Speaking with TNT Sports at UFC 310 in Las Vegas, Pereira praised Jones' experience as the deciding factor. Photo: Alex Pereira / Instagram   "I think Jon Jones has a lot of experience on his side," Pereira said. "Some people say, ‘Aspinall this, Aspinall that,’ but it comes down to experience. Jon Jones is a seasoned guy, he’s been there, so I think he wins.” Tom Aspinall, who won the interim title at UFC 295, is eager to face Jones and is confident the fight w...

Tom Aspinall Unsure if Jon Jones Will Fight Him Next

Photo: Tom Aspinall / Instagram   UFC interim heavyweight champ Tom Aspinall wants one thing: to become the undisputed heavyweight champion. To do that, he’ll need to face Jon Jones in a title unification fight. But Aspinall isn’t confident that Jones will step into the Octagon with him. “It’s the only fight to make,” Aspinall said on Tuesday while promoting his campaign with Jose Cuervo. “Now that Jones’ fight with [ Stipe Miocic ] is done, it’s time to move on with the division. They told me it won’t be long, which is positive.” Jones, 37, defended his title against Miocic in November at UFC 309. UFC CEO Dana White has said Jones’ next fight should be against Aspinall to unify the belts. However, Jones has hinted at other plans, including retirement or a fight with light heavyweight champ Alex Pereira . Jones went on to explain how Steveson handled being kneed in the face during a sparring session, showing no fear. "He ate it, and it looked like a kid with a new toy," Jones recalled. "He’s going to be scary. Once he learns boxing and jiu-jitsu, it’s not a question of if he’ll be a champion, but when." Photo: Jon Jones / Instagram   ...

Jon Jones Walks Out of UFC 309 Interview Over Tom Aspinall Questions

Photo: Jon Jones / Instagram   UFC heavyweight champion Jon Jones recently walked out of a pre-fight interview, refusing to answer questions about rising star Tom Aspinall . Jones, who is set to defend his title against Stipe Miocic in the main event at UFC 309 this Saturday at Madison Square Garden, left the interview after sensing it would be “an Aspinall fest.” Jones hasn’t fought since March when he returned to the octagon after a three-year break, defeating Ciryl Gane to claim the heavyweight belt. His upcoming opponent, 42-year-old Miocic, last fought in March 2021, where he was knocked out by Francis Ngannou . The interview, hosted by TNT Sports’ Adam Catterall, got off to an awkward start. As Jones sat down, he quickly changed his mind, telling Catterall, “I’m not going to do this interview... I’m not going to do it.” Later, Jones explained his decision, saying, “Common sense tells me what type of questions I’m going to get asked.” Photo: Jon Jones / Instagram   Jon...

Jon Jones Responds To Fans Calling Him A 'Duck' For Not Fighting Tom Aspinall

Photo: Jon Jones / Instagram   UFC heavyweight champ Jon Jones is firing back at critics who say he’s dodging a fight with top contender Tom Aspinall . Jones, a legendary UFC fighter, is scheduled to face Stipe Miocic at UFC 309 in Madison Square Garden next Saturday. He had hinted that this fight might be his last, but he recently suggested he might stick around for one more bout – though he doesn’t seem interested in facing Aspinall. Instead, Jones is looking for a high-profile opponent who could further build his legacy. Jones made it clear in recent interviews that he’s not planning on fighting Aspinall after UFC 309. He dismissed the British interim champ, saying Aspinall hasn’t done enough in the sport yet to make it worth his while. Photo: Jon Jones / Instagram “He’s just not interesting to me,” Jones said in an interview. “He hasn’t really built a legacy. I’ve been around forever, and he’s only recently joined the UFC. Who has he beaten? Just an older Andrei Arlovski. Fac...

Stipe Miocic Explains Why He Never Got A Trilogy Fight With Francis Ngannou

Photo: Stipe Miocic/Instagram   Stipe Miocic recently shared his thoughts on why a third fight with Francis Ngannou never happened. The two heavyweights, both UFC legends, fought twice with each winning one fight. Miocic wanted one more fight to settle things, but it never came together. Miocic first fought Ngannou on January 20, 2018. At the time, Ngannou was known for his devastating knockouts, and many thought Miocic would lose. However, Miocic used his wrestling skills to control Ngannou, winning the fight by decision. When they fought again three years later, Ngannou had improved a lot, especially in his wrestling. This time, he knocked Miocic out to win the heavyweight title. Miocic wanted another chance to win the trilogy, but it wasn’t to be. Instead, Ciryl Gane got the next title shot against Ngannou. Photo: Stipe Miocic/Instagram   In a recent interview, Miocic shared his frustration, saying, “I was trying to get the rubber match. It didn’t happen, unfortunately.....

Photo: Stipe Miocic/Instagram   Stipe Miocic isn’t losing sleep over the backlash he's facing for getting a fight against Jon Jones at UFC 309. Miocic has been out of the ring for over three years, and some fans think interim heavyweight champ Tom Aspinall deserves the spot. But Miocic says the decision wasn’t his. “It wasn’t my choice,” Miocic told MMA Fighting. “I wanted this fight, and the UFC gave it to me. They didn’t have to.” Aspinall has been on a winning streak, finishing all his fights in the first two rounds, which adds to the frustration for some fans. But Miocic, with a legacy as one of the best heavyweights in UFC history, believes his fight with Jones is special and will mean more to the sport. Photo: Stipe Miocic/Instagram   “I think a lot more people want to see me fight Jones than Aspinall,” Miocic said. Miocic hasn’t fought since 2021 when he was knocked out by Francis Ngannou . He wanted a third match with Ngannou to settle the score, but that fight neve...

Jake Paul Wants Jon Jones To Fight Tom Aspinall For Big Money

Photo: Jake Paul (Instagram) Jake Paul is trying to make a big fight happen between UFC fighters Jon Jones and Tom Aspinall . He believes that if enough money is on the table, Jones would agree to the fight. Tom Aspinall has been vocal about wanting to fight Jones ever since he won the interim heavyweight title by knocking out Sergei Pavlovich in November 2023. Aspinall hoped to face Jones in a title unification bout.  However, Jones hasn't been interested, preferring instead to focus on his next fight with Stipe Miocic , which could be his last before retiring. Some think Jones is avoiding Aspinall because he doesn't want to risk his legacy.  Photo: Jake Paul (Instagram) But Jake Paul has a different opinion. He says Jones isn't afraid of anyone; he just needs the right financial incentive.   Paul thinks a $25 million guaranteed payday, plus pay-per-view earnings, would be enough to get Jones in the ring with Aspinall. Jon Jones doesn’t dodge anyone. He knows exactly w...
