After a standout performance at the Summer Olympics, where Team USA defeated France 98-87 in men’s basketball, Curry used his now-famous “night, night” celebration after sinking four three-pointers in the final minutes of the game. Following that moment, Curry decided to protect the phrase by filing trademark applications for “nuit, nuit,” which means “night, night” in French. He has applied for the trademark in both Europe and the United States. Trademark attorney Josh Gerben shared the news, highlighting Curry’s intent to use the phrase on clothing. Darren Rovell from Cllct added that Curry’s company, SC30, filed for the trademark in Europe on August 14 and in the U.S. on August 19.
