Gramm was diagnosed with a brain tumor called a craniopharyngioma and underwent a 19-hour surgery that damaged his pituitary gland. The operation caused major health issues, including weight gain and memory loss. His doctors told him not to tour for at least a year, but the band’s manager pushed him to perform only two months later. Despite the struggles, Gramm slowly recovered and returned to performing.
