Conor McGregor Faces $6 Million Lawsuit Over Whiskey Brand Dispute

Photo: Conor McGregor / Instagram   Conor McGregor is set for another legal battle in May 2025, as his former friend and sparring partner Artem Lobov is suing him for €6 million ($6.4 million). The dispute is over the Proper No. Twelve whiskey brand , which McGregor co-founded and sold a large portion of last year for over $130 million (€122.8 million). Lobov claims he was promised 5% of the brand for his role in helping create it, but says he never received his share. He alleges McGregor agreed to the deal during a conversation in a Dublin gym in 2016. McGregor denies the agreement and reportedly offered Lobov $1 million (€946,000) to settle, which Lobov rejected. Lobov insists his contributions included identifying potential collaborators and helping set up the brand's foundation. This case comes just months after McGregor faced another ...

McGregor Could Fight Next Year, Says UFC Boss Dana White

Photo: Conor McGregor / Instagram   UFC President Dana White has said that if Conor McGregor returns to fighting, it will happen sometime next year. McGregor hasn’t fought in the UFC since 2021, when he broke his leg in a loss to Dustin Poirier . A planned comeback fight in June against Michael Chandler was canceled after McGregor broke his toe. McGregor’s name has been in the news recently for a different reason. Last month, an Irish jury found him liable for assault in a civil case. The jury ruled McGregor assaulted Nikita Hand at a Dublin hotel in 2018 and ordered him to pay nearly €250,000 in damages and legal fees. McGregor denied the accusations and has said he will appeal the decision. At a news conference after UFC 310, White declined to comment on the case. When asked about McGregor’s UFC status, White said, “He hasn’t been fighting here in how long? If he does fight, it will be sometime next year.” Photo: Conor McGregor / Instagram   The UFC has an Athlete Conduc...

Appeal! Appeal! Appeal!” Photo: Conor McGregor / Instagram   McGregor, 36, is planning to appeal the decision. His fiancée, Dee Devlin , also used social media to defend him and criticize the verdict, accusing the victim of being the aggressor. The fallout from the case has already impacted McGregor's career. Proper 12 , the whiskey brand he co-founded, dropped him following the verdict. This story is still developing,...

Ireland Turns Away From Conor McGregor After Guilty Verdict

Photo: Conor McGregor / Instagram   Conor McGregor , once celebrated as Ireland’s biggest sports star, now faces a wave of backlash following a jury’s verdict in a civil case that found him guilty of sexual assault . The case was brought by Nikita Hand, who accused McGregor of raping her at a Dublin hotel in 2018. She was awarded nearly €250,000 in damages, though McGregor has said he will appeal the decision. The verdict has led to significant consequences for McGregor’s reputation and brand.  Products linked  to him have been pulled from shelves in both Ireland and the UK, brands have cut ties, and murals of him have been painted over. His whiskey brand, Proper No. Twelve , will no longer use his name or image in marketing, and the creators of the Hitman video game announced they have ended their collaboration with him. Even Ireland’s National Wax Museum has removed his statue. Gym owners, like Gary Scully of Scully Fitness in Galway, have painted over murals of McGreg...

Photo: Conor McGregor / Instagram   Former UFC champion Conor McGregor is headed back to court in January for a lawsuit involving his former friend and training partner, Artem Lobov. Lobov, a former UFC fighter, claims the idea for Proper 12 was his and says he spent years helping to build the business. He is now suing McGregor for $8 million, claiming he deserves a share of the profits. McGregor sold the whiskey brand in 2021 for an estimated $600 million, but Lobov says he didn’t get anything from the deal. Lobov told reporters he was the one who convinced McGregor to pursue Irish whiskey instead of vodka. “I did my research, met with distilleries, and put together a great deal,” Lobov said. He says he introduced McGregor and his management team to the contacts he had developed, believing they had an agreement. Photo: Conor McGregor / Instag...

Dan Hooker Criticizes Michael Chandler For BMF Title Callout After UFC 309 Loss

Photo: Dan Hooker, Michael Chandler / Instagram   UFC lightweight contender Dan Hooker is not impressed with Michael Chandler ’s post-fight callout following his loss at UFC 309. Chandler, who was defeated by Charles Oliveira last Saturday, used his microphone time to call out potential opponents, including Conor McGregor and Max Holloway for the BMF title. However, after his loss, he pivoted to other options, suggesting a fight with Holloway for the BMF belt or reigniting his rivalry with McGregor. “I had a bunch of callouts,” Chandler said in the Octagon. “Maybe Max Holloway for the BMF belt. Or, Conor McGregor... Come back and beat me, if you can.” Photo: Dan Hooker / Instagram   Hooker, who was knocked out by Chandler in 2021 but has since climbed the lightweight rankings, dismissed Chandler’s BMF title ambitions. “I don’t like Chandler calling for the BMF title,” Hooker...

Conor McGregor Responds To Dana White’s Big Fight Claims

Photo: Conor McGregor / Instagram   Conor McGregor thinks UFC boss Dana White might be overhyping things. After UFC 309, White called a possible 2025 heavyweight fight between Jon Jones and Tom Aspinall the biggest in UFC history. This claim is bold, especially since McGregor holds the record for the biggest UFC fight. His 2018 clash with Khabib Nurmagomedov sold 2.4 million pay-per-views. During the UFC 309 post-fight press conference, White praised Jon Jones and hinted at a fight with Tom Aspinall, who has been eager to face Jones all year. Even though Jones has shown little interest, White believes the fight will happen and break records. Photo: Conor McGregor / Instagram   “It would be the biggest heavyweight fight in UFC history,” White said. “And probably the biggest fight we’ve ever done.” A clip of White’s comments spread online, and McGregor reacted briefly, posting “Now, now” alongside the video on X (formerly Twitter) before deleting it. McGregor hasn’t fou...
