Lillard now has five 60-point games in his career, putting him behind only Kobe Bryant and Wilt Chamberlain.

At the age of 32, he is also the oldest player in NBA history to score 70 points in a game.

In addition, he is the first player in NBA history to score at least 70 points in under 40 minutes of play.

The third quarter saw Lillard score 50 points, but the Rockets managed to cut the lead to 14 points after trailing by as many as 23.

Despite his efforts to break Klay Thompson's record of 14 3-pointers in a game, Lillard finished with 13 3-pointers, which is still a remarkable feat.

Lillard's outstanding performance also tied him with Kyrie Irving for the second-most points scored in a half in the past 25 seasons, with Bryant holding the record for 42 points.

He finished the game with six rebounds, six assists, and a perfect 14-of-14 from the free throw line.

Jerami Grant scored 13 points, while Nassir Little scored 11 points and had nine rebounds off the bench for the Trail Blazers.

Alperen Sengun led the Rockets with 17 points and 10 rebounds, and Jae'Sean Tate added 17 points in the losing effort.

Finally, Tari Eason scored 15 points and had 10 rebounds off the bench for the Rockets.

During the bout, Gaethje landed heavy punches and kicks that Khabib admitted were painful. “He hit like a truck,” Khabib said on Mike Tyson ’s Hotboxin' podcast. “His left hook, right hook, uppercut—they all hurt. But I made him hit me because I knew he didn’t like wrestling. My plan was to tire him out by standing with him, then take him to the ground and finish the fight.” Photo: Khabib Nurmagomedov / Instagram Khabib ended the fight with a triangle choke submission. He explained he chose the move out of respect for Gaethje’s parents, who were watching. “I didn’t want to break his arm in front of his parents,” Khabib said. “So I put him to sleep instead.
