The Lakers completed their biggest comeback in 21 years with a 111-108 win over the Dallas Mavericks after being down by 27 points in the first half.

Jarred Vanderbilt was a key factor in the Lakers' comeback, bringing an intense energy to the court and playing solid defense against Luka Doncic.

Vanderbilt's long arms and athleticism allowed him to hold Doncic to 1-of-5 shooting in their matchups and even forced a turnover in the final seconds of the game to prevent a tie.

Vanderbilt also had an impressive offensive performance, finishing the game with 15 points, 17 rebounds, and four steals.

Anthony Davis and LeBron James were also instrumental in the Lakers' victory, dominating the paint and racking up impressive stats.

Davis had 30 points, 15 rebounds, four assists, and three blocks, while James finished with 26 points and eight rebounds.

The Lakers' 3-point shooting was lackluster, going 6-for-34, but their strong inside game resulted in a 62-32 advantage in points in the paint.

Despite briefly going down with an ankle injury, James played the role of closer, scoring 11 points in the fourth quarter.

Dennis Schröder also contributed with 16 points and eight assists. The Lakers are now 4-1 since trading for Vanderbilt, D'Angelo Russell, Mo Bamba, and Davon Reed.

They are currently tied for 11th in the Western Conference standings and will travel to Memphis for their next game against the second-seeded Grizzlies on Tuesday.

Vanderbilt's impressive performance showed that the Lakers are a deep team capable of winning in various ways.
