LeBron James, the Los Angeles Lakers' superstar, will be out for at least two weeks due to a foot injury sustained in Sunday's game against Dallas.

According to reports from ESPN and The Athletic, James will be re-evaluated in two weeks, and his expected return date will be further delayed.

The extent of the injury is yet to be determined, and additional test results are pending. Neither James nor the Lakers have indicated a long-term absence.

James has been ruled out for the Lakers' game against Memphis on Tuesday due to foot soreness.

Despite the injury, James played 37 minutes in the game against Dallas and helped the Lakers rally from a 27-point deficit.

He left the arena with a limp, and video footage showed how much the injury was bothering him.

James noted the importance of the game and the team's playoff hopes, saying that he wasn't going to leave the game without finishing it.

He leads the Lakers in scoring with an average of 29.5 points per game and has emphasized the importance of the team's closing stretch this season.

The Lakers currently rank 12th in the Western Conference, one game behind the 10th spot in the Play-In Tournament, and only 2.5 games behind Dallas in the race for sixth place.

The top six teams in each conference are guaranteed playoff berths.

If James misses more time due to the injury, the Lakers' task of making the playoffs will become significantly harder.

As a 19-time All-Star and in his 20th NBA season, James is a key player for the Lakers.
