Aaron Rodgers' potential trade from the Green Bay Packers to the New York Jets could be completed this week, according to a report by Sports Illustrated's Albert Breer.

The Packers quarterback has expressed his desire to move to the Big Apple, but talks between the two teams have appeared to be at a deadlock.

Breer suggests that the best-case scenario would be an announcement this week, but if not, the deal will be completed before the NFL Draft on April 27.

The move is expected to kickstart an exciting overhaul for the Jets in the offseason.

Alongside Rodgers, the team has also been linked to Odell Beckham Jr., who may potentially join them.

The Jets have already acquired Allen Lazard from the Packers and Mecole Hardman from the Kansas City Chiefs.

Rodgers reportedly provided the Jets with a wishlist of four players, including Lazard, Beckham, Marcedes Lewis, and Randall Cobb.

Lazard has already made his move to New York and believes that Rodgers will follow.

He has confidence that Rodgers will lead the team to a Super Bowl win, something the Jets haven't achieved since 1969.

After losing their final game of the season, both the Packers and the Jets failed to make the playoffs last season.

Rodgers even contemplated retirement after the game, but he eventually decided to keep playing and expressed his desire to move to the Jets on March 15 during an appearance on the Pat McAfee show.
