Jimmy Butler Expresses Frustration With Nickelback After Heat's Loss To Magic

After an exhausting loss to the Magic, Jimmy Butler of the Miami Heat decompressed in an unusual way - by blasting music from one of the world's most hated bands, Nickelback.

Butler had played a fantastic game, scoring 38 points in just 39 minutes, including a buzzer-beating three-pointer that sent the game into overtime.

However, the Heat lost in the extra period, leaving Butler visibly upset and frustrated with his team's performance.

Butler's love of Nickelback is well-known, and he decided to take out his frustration on his teammates by singing along to every word of the band's songs.

The post-grunge Canadian rockers are so unpopular that over 30,000 Lions fans signed a petition to replace them as a halftime act, making them the perfect target for Butler's ire.

By chewing out his teammates with Nickelback, Butler was able to express his disappointment and frustration in a way that was both cathartic and humorous.

There was nothing he or coach Erik Spoelstra could say that was worse than the band's lyrics, and it was a way for Butler to remind his teammates that they needed to match his intensity and focus.

Although Butler got a technical foul for walking off the court and into the tunnel before the game was over, his hot streak on the court has been undeniable.

Since the All-Star break, he has been shooting an impressive 62.9 percent and averaging 26.3 points per game.

With the Heat currently sitting 4.5 games out of sixth place and four games ahead of 10th, they need to step up their game and match Butler's level of play if they hope to make a strong push in the playoffs.
