Cristiano Ronaldo Discusses Possible Reunion With Jose Mourinho Following Al-Nassr's Offer

The Saudi FA has reportedly targeted Roma boss Jose Mourinho for a potentially huge payday to manage Cristiano Ronaldo in Saudi Arabia.

This would offer an unlikely reunion for the two Portuguese legends, who have had a combustible relationship over the years.

While their Premier League arrivals were separated by only 12 months, they linked up at Real Madrid to devastating effect.

However, their time at the Bernabeu was not all smooth sailing, and they routinely clashed.

Following a frosty post-match interview more than a decade ago, the two could now be reunited in Saudi Arabia.

According to reports, Mourinho has been offered a whopping £100 million to go to Saudi Arabia for two seasons, and he will have his choice of jobs in the Gulf state, including the national team or a role with Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr.

The feeling is clearly mutual between the two, with Ronaldo placing Mourinho as his greatest coach, even higher than Sir Alex Ferguson.

Mourinho has also stated that coaching Ronaldo was the highlight of his career.

Ronaldo made the move to Saudi Arabia at the start of this year following a very public breakdown of his relationship with Erik ten Hag at Old Trafford.

The veteran striker felt disrespected by the new United boss and forced his exit six months before the end of his contract.

Mourinho's coaching style could offer a different approach to Ten Hag's, as he believes it is important for a coach to understand that they are not going to teach big players like Ronaldo how to play football.

Instead, they will teach them how to play football in the team.

Club bosses at Al-Nassr are reportedly desperate to become a global brand, and having Mourinho in the dugout would be a significant step towards achieving that goal.

Rudi Garcia is currently the man in that hotseat, but Mourinho would seemingly jump at the chance of managing Ronaldo for the second time.

The move would be a huge payday for Mourinho, but it remains to be seen whether he will accept the offer and be reunited with Ronaldo in Saudi Arabia.
