Jayson Tatum Apologizes To Janet Jackson For Playoff Game Delaying Concert

Jayson Tatum, the star player of the Boston Celtics, expressed his regret to Janet Jackson after their Game 6 with the Atlanta Hawks forced her concert to be postponed.

Due to the Hawks winning the Tuesday night game, the playoff series was sent to a sixth game, which coincided with Janet Jackson's scheduled concert at State Farm Arena.

However, the Celtics defeated the Hawks on Thursday night, securing their spot in the Eastern Conference semifinals with a victory of 128-120 in Atlanta.

During a post-game interview with TNT, Tatum apologized to the renowned singer, saying, "I want to say an apology to the legend Janet Jackson".

He explained that the team was supposed to close out the series in Boston, but instead had to play a sixth game, causing Jackson's crew to tear down and rebuild the stage for the concert that was ultimately postponed.

The tickets for Thursday's concert were refundable and transferable to accommodate fans who could not attend on Friday when the concert was rescheduled.

Unfortunately, Jackson's show on Friday coincided with another concert being held by Taylor Swift at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium, less than 1,000 feet from State Farm Arena in downtown Atlanta.

Despite the inconvenience caused to Janet Jackson, the Boston Celtics secured their position in the playoffs and are moving on to the second round, where they will face off against the Philadelphia 76ers.
