Former Boxer Carl Froch Claims Anthony Joshua 'Past His Best' And Would Suffer Defeat Against Deontay Wilder In Super-Fight

Carl Froch, a former British boxer, has criticized Anthony Joshua's legacy in the sport of boxing. Froch claimed that Joshua has "no real legacy" within boxing and suggested that the British heavyweight is "past his best" and considering quitting.

Joshua recently won against American boxer Jermaine Franklin via unanimous decision, sparking rumors of a potential super-fight with Deontary Wilder in Saudi Arabia.

However, Froch claimed that Joshua would struggle in a fight against Wilder and predicted a round one knockout defeat for the British heavyweight.

Froch suggested that Joshua's motivation cannot be money, as he has already made a fortune, and questioned what the British boxer is fighting for. He also criticized Joshua's recent losses to Oleksandr Usyk and Andy Ruiz Jr. and stated that Joshua will not be remembered as an all-time great.

Froch claimed that Wilder knows Joshua is "gun-shy" and will be able to line him up for a knockout in round one. Joshua and Wilder have been rumored to feature on a double-header event, which would be headlined by Tyson Fury and Usyk.

Negotiations for an undisputed showdown between Fury and Usyk failed earlier this year, with Usyk's team pulling out of talks due to Fury's demands. Talks for a potential double-header in the Middle East later this year have since reopened, but Fury denied rumors of entertaining talks over a double-header.

Froch's comments have stirred up controversy, with many fans and pundits disagreeing with his assessment of Joshua's legacy and potential performance against Wilder.

Some have argued that Joshua's recent win against Franklin shows that he still has the potential to compete at the highest level, while others have criticized Froch for making such bold predictions.

Regardless, it remains to be seen whether Joshua will indeed face Wilder in a super-fight and whether he can silence his critics by delivering a convincing performance.
