Social Media Stir: Devin Booker Unfollows Ja Morant, Prompting Speculation Among NBA Fans

In a recent development, it has been reported by NBA Alerts that NBA superstar Devin Booker of the Phoenix Suns has chosen to unfollow Ja Morant, the rising star from the Memphis Grizzlies, on social media platform X (formerly Twitter).

The engagement of NBA players on various social media platforms has added an extra layer of entertainment for fans throughout the past decade. Fans are not only using X to stay updated on trade talks, signings, and rumors, but also to keep track of the posts and interactions of their favorite players.

According to the report released on August 22, NBA Alerts, an account that monitors the online activity of NBA personalities, brought attention to the fact that Devin Booker, known for his following of 1.2 million, decided to unfollow Ja Morant on X. Interestingly, Booker's list of followed accounts includes 167 individuals, while Morant, who boasts a following of 2.7 million, follows only 116 accounts.
The exact duration for which Booker had been following Morant is not readily available, leaving fans speculating about the possible reasons behind this recent action. At present, there is no indication that Morant has reciprocated and unfollowed Booker in return.

NBA Alerts' post concerning this matter garnered substantial engagement, achieving over 54,000 impressions and accumulating 423 likes. Devin Booker, aged 26, and Ja Morant, aged 24, are both recognized as some of the most promising young talents in the NBA.
In the previous season, Booker showcased his prowess by averaging 27.8 points, 4.5 rebounds, 5.5 assists, and 1.0 steal per game, while maintaining shooting percentages of 49.4% from the field and 35.1% from beyond the arc across 53 regular season matchups.

The Phoenix Suns, positioned as the fourth seed in the competitive Western Conference, progressed to the second round of the NBA playoffs, where they faced an unfortunate defeat at the hands of the Denver Nuggets.
Meanwhile, Ja Morant put forth an impressive performance, averaging 26.2 points, 5.9 rebounds, 8.1 assists, and 1.1 steal per game, with a field goal percentage of 46.6% during the span of 61 regular season games. His efforts propelled the Memphis Grizzlies to secure the second seed in the Western Conference. Despite this achievement, they were eliminated in the first round of the NBA playoffs by the Los Angeles Lakers.
