Explosive Confrontation Erupts Between Israel Adesanya And Manel Kape at UFC 293 Press Conference

At the UFC 293 press conference held in Australia, tensions flared between Israel Adesanya and Manel Kape, despite the fact that they were not slated to face each other in the octagon.

The altercation ignited when Kape was asked about his impromptu fight against Felipe dos Santos, a replacement for the injured Kai Kara-France, who was Adesanya's teammate. Kape didn't hold back, publicly berating Kara-France, calling him derogatory names, and accusing him of avoiding the fight.

Amidst the verbal exchange, Adesanya, standing just a seat away from Kape, joined the fray, further escalating the situation. Security personnel swiftly intervened, preventing a physical confrontation. Even heavyweight fighter Tai Tuivasa found himself caught in the middle of the heated exchange.


While tensions simmered down, Sean Strickland, Adesanya's opponent, surprisingly emerged as the voice of reason, urging everyone to calm down and reminding Adesanya that provoking Kape wasn't his responsibility.

Eventually, the press conference resumed, but Kape took another opportunity to target Kara-France, expressing his desire to fight him in the future. He questioned Kara-France's decision to withdraw due to injury, suggesting that champions should push through such challenges.

As the press conference concluded and Kape prepared to face Dos Santos, he couldn't resist delivering one final insult to Kara-France by flipping him the middle finger from the stage.
