Yankees' Aaron Judge Makes History With Second Three-Homer Game of The Season

In a sensational display of power hitting, Aaron Judge etched his name in New York Yankees history by becoming the first player in the franchise's storied legacy to hit three home runs in a game twice within a single season.

This remarkable feat was achieved during a Friday night clash against the Arizona Diamondbacks, where Judge's explosive bat stole the spotlight in New York's 7-1 victory. Judge's extraordinary performance began with a resounding three-run homer in the third inning, and he followed it up with a two-run blast in the fifth off rookie pitcher Brandon Pfaadt.

However, it was in the seventh inning that he completed his historic hat-trick, launching a solo home run into the second deck in right field against Slade Cecconi. The Yankees' skipper, Aaron Boone, couldn't help but praise Judge's greatness, labeling his achievement as something truly special.

Judge's three-home-run game prompted a curtain call from the Yankee Stadium crowd, a moment of adulation he cherished deeply. This incredible display made Aaron Judge the sixth player in Yankees history to achieve multiple three-homer games.

Notably, Yankees legends like Lou Gehrig, Joe DiMaggio, Alex Rodríguez, Tony Lazzeri, and Bobby Murcer have all recorded similar feats in the past. Lou Gehrig, who also holds the record for hitting four homers in a single game in June 1926, leads the pack with four such games.

Aaron Judge's offensive prowess has been a significant asset for the Yankees this season, even though he missed a substantial chunk of the campaign due to injury. In 100 games, Judge has accumulated an impressive batting average of .267, along with 35 home runs and 70 RBIs.

His absence earlier in the season, resulting from a right big toe sprain, was undoubtedly a missed opportunity, but Judge's return to the lineup in July marked a turning point for the team. Notably, Aaron Judge made history in the previous season when he shattered the American League record for home runs, hitting an incredible 62 homers, surpassing the previous mark set by Yankees legend Roger Maris in 1961.

Aaron Judge's consistent excellence and record-breaking performances continue to solidify his status as one of the brightest stars in the New York Yankees' rich history, a testament to his remarkable talent and dedication to the game.
