The World Series took an unfortunate turn for the Texas Rangers as two of their star players, Adolis García and Max Scherzer, have been removed from the roster due to injuries sustained during Game 3.

Major League Baseball (MLB) announced these roster substitutions just before Game 4, rendering both players ineligible for the remainder of the series.

Adolis García, the Rangers' infielder/outfielder, was notably absent from the lineup for Game 4 due to a strained left oblique he suffered in Game 3.

Rangers general manager Chris Young confirmed these moves, stating that these injuries would require an extended period of recovery if they had occurred during the regular season.

García's absence is a significant blow to the Rangers, as he has been a standout player throughout the postseason, earning ALCS MVP honors and setting an MLB record for most RBI in a single postseason series.

In Game 3, his outfield assist played a crucial role in preventing the Diamondbacks from scoring, showcasing his value beyond just hitting.

Max Scherzer, a three-time Cy Young winner, was another vital asset for the Rangers, but he won't be available for a potential Game 7 due to a back injury. The Rangers had counted on his experience and expertise in postseason play to help them secure a championship.

Travis Jankowski will replace García in right field for Game 4, and the Rangers will have to regroup and adapt to these unexpected setbacks as they hold a 2-1 series lead. The team faces a challenging situation as they continue their quest for a World Series title without two of their key players.

During the bout, Gaethje landed heavy punches and kicks that Khabib admitted were painful. “He hit like a truck,” Khabib said on Mike Tyson ’s Hotboxin' podcast. “His left hook, right hook, uppercut—they all hurt. But I made him hit me because I knew he didn’t like wrestling. My plan was to tire him out by standing with him, then take him to the ground and finish the fight.” Photo: Khabib Nurmagomedov / Instagram Khabib ended the fight with a triangle choke submission. He explained he chose the move out of respect for Gaethje’s parents, who were watching. “I didn’t want to break his arm in front of his parents,” Khabib said. “So I put him to sleep instead.
