In a bout that left the sports world abuzz, Francis Ngannou's stunning performance against Tyson Fury culminated in a razor-thin split decision win for the lineal heavyweight boxing champion.

Ngannou shocked the audience by knocking down Fury, but the judges' scores of 95-94 for Ngannou, and 96-93 and 95-94 for Fury, sparked heated debate.

Following the fight, an array of boxing and MMA champions and legends took to social media to voice their opinions, with many firmly believing that Ngannou was the rightful winner. Among the notable figures expressing their views were Roberto Duran, who asserted, "Tyson lose," and Chris Eubank Jr., who believed Ngannou should have been awarded the victory.

Mike Tyson, who played a coaching role for Ngannou in Saudi Arabia, also scored the fight for the UFC champion, saying, "No, it wasn't a robbery, but everybody knows the outcome." Eddie Hearn, a rival boxing promoter, described it as a case of a "complete novice" beating Fury and thought Ngannou won by two rounds.

Promoter Lou DiBella expressed his embarrassment for boxing, while Lennox Lewis referred to the win as "lackluster." Claressa Shields, Sunny Edwards, and several other boxing champions shared the sentiment that Ngannou might have done enough to win the decision, with Ricky Hatton being one of the few boxing stars who thought Fury won.

MMA legends also chimed in, with Nate Diaz taking a dig at "biased" boxing commentators. Former UFC heavyweight champion Junior dos Santos argued that Ngannou had landed the best shots of the evening and vehemently disagreed with the decision.

Demetrious Johnson claimed Ngannou was "robbed," and he was not alone in his belief, as several other MMA stars, including Chris Weidman, Ben Rothwell, and Marvin Vettori, thought Ngannou should have emerged victorious.

The controversy surrounding this fight continues to generate discussion and debate, highlighting the divisive nature of the split decision that left fans and experts divided on the outcome.
