In a Wednesday night face-off between the San Antonio Spurs and the Los Angeles Clippers, all eyes turned to rookie Victor Wembanyama, who unleashed a jaw-dropping one-handed dunk, sparking a social media frenzy.

The Clippers, victorious in their Monday clash against the Spurs with a score of 124-99, found themselves facing a determined San Antonio team.

Despite Wembanyama's standout performance, the Spurs continue to struggle with a 3-11 record, currently holding the 14th seed in the competitive Western Conference.

Wembanyama, the 19-year-old sensation selected as the first pick in the 2023 NBA Draft, showcased his skills with impressive averages of 18.6 points, 9.1 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 1.0 steals, and 2.6 blocks per game.

However, his individual brilliance contrasts with the team's challenges, enduring a nine-game losing streak and a 1-7 record on their home court in San Antonio.

In Monday's defeat, Wembanyama contributed nine points, three rebounds, four assists, and two blocks in 27 minutes of play.

The Spurs, coming off a 22-60 season and a 15th seed finish in the previous campaign, are hopeful that the addition of Wembanyama will bring a positive shift.

Despite the current struggles, anticipation surrounds the Spurs as they look forward to their next matchup against the Golden State Warriors at the Chase Center in San Francisco on Friday.

The question remains: Can Wembanyama's prowess turn the tide for the Spurs this season?

During the bout, Gaethje landed heavy punches and kicks that Khabib admitted were painful. “He hit like a truck,” Khabib said on Mike Tyson ’s Hotboxin' podcast. “His left hook, right hook, uppercut—they all hurt. But I made him hit me because I knew he didn’t like wrestling. My plan was to tire him out by standing with him, then take him to the ground and finish the fight.” Photo: Khabib Nurmagomedov / Instagram Khabib ended the fight with a triangle choke submission. He explained he chose the move out of respect for Gaethje’s parents, who were watching. “I didn’t want to break his arm in front of his parents,” Khabib said. “So I put him to sleep instead.
