LA Clippers Coach Tyronn Lue Faces $35,000 Fine Following Fiery Post-Game Comments

Following the post-game drama, LA Clippers head coach Tyronn Lue is now grappling with the consequences, as he stares down a hefty $35,000 fine.

The disciplinary action was announced by Joe Dumars, Executive Vice President and Head of Basketball Operations, in response to Lue's public criticism of game officials and his direct questioning of their integrity.

The incident unfolded just outside the Clippers' locker room after their thrilling 130-125 victory over the Golden State Warriors at the Chase Center on February 14.

Lue, evidently dissatisfied with the officiating during the game, unleashed a verbal assault on the officials, prompting swift repercussions from the league.

This isn't the first time the NBA has cracked down on coaches for public comments about officiating, underscoring the league's commitment to maintaining respect for the game's referees. 

The $35,000 fine serves as a stark reminder that coaches are expected to uphold a level of professionalism even in the heat of the moment.
