Miami Dolphins' Tyreek Hill Faces Civil Lawsuit Alleging Purposeful Leg Break of Social Media Influencer

In a civil lawsuit filed on February 23, social media influencer Sophie Hall accuses Miami Dolphins' Tyreek Hill of purposefully breaking her leg during a football drill at his mansion last summer. 

Hall, who boasts over 2 million Instagram followers, is seeking up to $75,000 in damages on charges of battery, assault, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and negligence.

The lawsuit claims that Hill, embarrassed by losing stability during a friendly football lesson, charged at Hall "violently and with great force," causing a right leg fracture that required surgery with metal hardware implantation.

The incident allegedly occurred during offensive line drills, witnessed by Hill's mother, sister, friend, and trainer. Dolphins' General Manager, Chris Grier, commented on the situation at the NFL Scouting Combine, stating, "We were made aware of it... We'll have to get all the information before we can really comment on it."

Hall's complaint details her interaction with Hill, stating that they met in May 2023 when her son attended Hill's summer football camp. The lawsuit alleges that Hill invited Hall to his house, where the incident took place on June 28.

Tyreek Hill has a history of off-field controversies, including allegations of child abuse in 2019, for which he was suspended by the Kansas City Chiefs. The NFL, however, did not suspend him after an investigation. Hill also has a prior legal history involving domestic assault. 

Last August, Miami-Dade police investigated Hill after he was accused of slapping a man at Haulover Marina, but no charges were filed. The Dolphins are awaiting further information before commenting on the current allegations against Hill. (Source: CBS Sports)
