Steph Curry Makes NBA History In Dominant Performance Against Lakers

Golden State Warriors' star Steph Curry etches his name in NBA history against the Los Angeles Lakers. 

Curry's outstanding performance saw him tally 32 points, 8 assists, 3 steals, and 6 three-pointers on Thursday night, making him the oldest player to achieve such a stat line in a single game (source: Basketball Reference's StatHead).

But the historic night didn't end there for Curry. He also secured his place in Warriors franchise history by becoming the first player to reach 6,000 career assists.

Remarkably, this achievement comes just weeks before Curry's 36th birthday, showcasing his enduring excellence on the court.

Entering the game with impressive season averages of 28.0 points per game and 5.0 assists per game on shooting splits of 46/42/92, Curry further elevated these numbers with his stellar performance against the Lakers. 

By the end of the third quarter, he had already surpassed his average points and assists, solidifying his status as one of the NBA's premier players.


While the Warriors have shown improvement as a team recently, Curry's brilliance remains the driving force. The team's reliance on his consistent greatness is evident, especially considering the sporadic production from other players throughout the season.

The game against the Lakers held significant playoff implications for the Warriors, trailing Los Angeles by 1.5 games in the Western Conference standings.
