Draymond Green Opens Up About Suspension Impact On Warriors' Chemistry And Surprising Team Bonding

Draymond Green delved into the intricate details surrounding his suspension from the NBA, offering a rare glimpse into the challenges and unexpected triumphs that unfolded during his absence.

When Green faced suspension from the Warriors, the team found itself in disarray, missing its defensive linchpin and struggling to maintain a spot in the playoffs. The discomfort was palpable for both Green and his teammates, caught in a precarious situation.

In a recent episode of the 7PM in Brooklyn podcast, Green candidly shared his internal conflict during the suspension period. "It was a very weird space," he admitted. "I need to be coming in every day, but on the other side of the fence, I really need to get so far away from this. It's kind of this weird thing. And I think we found a balance."

Surprisingly, Green's distance from the court didn't result in a detachment from his teammates. Contrary to concerns, the suspension brought him closer to key figures like Steph Curry, with daily calls and texts becoming the norm. "The relationships grew stronger," Green revealed. "Not like, 'How you doing? You working out?' None of that. Like, 'Yo, what's up? What's going on with you? How you doing? How you feeling? Great.'"
