Minnesota Timberwolves coach Chris Finch endured a painful setback during Game 4 against the Phoenix Suns on Sunday night.
News outlets report that Finch suffered a ruptured right patellar tendon after an in-game collision with Timberwolves guard Mike Conley.
The incident occurred late in the fourth quarter when Conley collided with Suns star Devin Booker and inadvertently ran into Finch.

The collision left Finch grimacing in pain and clutching his right knee as he was helped off the court by teammates, coaches, and staff.
Following the Timberwolves' 122-116 victory and first-round series sweep of the Suns, reports confirmed Finch's injury. Assistant coach Micah Nori stepped in to lead the team for the remainder of the game, while Finch underwent medical evaluation.

Conley, expressing concern for Finch's well-being, remarked on the collision with a touch of humor. "I told him to sit his (butt) down — he shouldn’t be standing up like that late in the game," Conley said. "But prayers up for him, I’m sure he’ll be fine."

Despite the setback, Nori assured that Finch was in good spirits, and the team rallied around their injured coach. Finch's presence on the sidelines will be missed as the Timberwolves continue their playoff journey.
