Former NBA Referee Calls Chris Paul 'One of The Biggest A**holes I Ever Dealt With'

Every year during the NBA playoffs, complaints about officiating rise, with many fans, players, and coaches voicing their frustrations. 

This season, Scott Foster has been a particular target of criticism. Chris Paul, in particular, has had ongoing issues with Foster and has been vocal about it.

In a recent article on The Athletic, former NBA referee Bill Spooner, who worked in the league for 32 years, defended Foster and criticized Paul.

“In my 32 years in the league, Chris Paul was one of the biggest a**holes I ever dealt with,” Spooner said. He noted that people often expect names like Rasheed Wallace, but Paul tops his list.

Two things can be true: Foster has a strong personality that can lead to conflicts on the court, and Paul is ultra-competitive and can be difficult to deal with. 

Draymond Green, Paul's teammate last season, has also called him an a**hole before they both joined the Warriors. Their clashes are not surprising.

Despite these issues, Foster continues to get assignments for big games as he remains one of the league's top-rated officials. Similarly, Chris Paul's personality is unlikely to change.
