Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson Fight Postponed Due To Tyson's Health

The highly anticipated boxing match between Jake Paul and Mike Tyson has been postponed following a medical emergency for Tyson. Most Valuable Promotions, Paul's company, made the announcement.

Paul expressed his disappointment in a video on X, saying he was "heartbroken" but willing to fight Tyson when he's healthy. 

According to the New York Post, Tyson, 57, suffered an ulcer flare-up that made him nauseous and dizzy just before a flight from Miami to Los Angeles. Tyson's representatives confirmed he is now "doing great."

Tyson, feeling better, said, "I want to thank my fans for their support. My doctor advised me to rest due to my ulcer flare-up. My body is in great shape, and I’ll be back to training soon. 

Jake Paul, this may have bought you some time, but you'll still be knocked out. I appreciate everyone's patience and can't wait to deliver a great performance later this year."


Paul added, "I fully support postponing the event so Mike Tyson has no excuses. I want to face Iron Mike at his best. Paul vs. Tyson will be a historic fight, and I promise to bring my best."


The fight was set for July 20 at AT&T Stadium, home of the Dallas Cowboys. A new date will be announced on June 7.


Paul, a former YouTube star turned boxer, has a 9-1 professional record with six knockouts. Tyson, a legendary boxer, was the undisputed world heavyweight champion from 1987 to 1990, finishing his career with a 50-6 record.
