Aljamain Sterling Responds After Manager Proposes Kayla Harrison Fight

Aljamain Sterling has responded to a surprising suggestion from manager Ali Abdelaziz regarding Kayla Harrison’s next opponent. Both Sterling and Harrison picked up big wins at UFC 300 in April.

Harrison made a strong debut by defeating Holly Holm, and Abdelaziz was recently asked about her next fight during an interview on Submission Radio. His unexpected answer shocked the hosts.

Abdelaziz suggested, "Merab [Dvalishvili] or Aljamain Sterling… It’s not fair – honestly, ‘cause if none of these girls wanna fight her, let’s fight somebody else at 135… None of these females are gonna wanna fight her, especially after what she did to Holly. And I think let’s make a move, fight some men. And I believe she can win big all those guys I just mentioned."

#9-ranked Rob Font was also mentioned alongside #1-ranked Dvalishvili and Sterling. Sterling, who impressed with a unanimous decision win in his featherweight debut at UFC 300, quickly shared his thoughts on the proposed matchup with Harrison.

Sterling, also known as "Funk Master," did not score a finish like Harrison, but he did dominate Calvin Kattar with his wrestling skills. He is currently exchanging words with unbeaten Movsar Evloev about a potential fight.


If Abdelaziz’s request for a male opponent doesn't happen, fans are left wondering who Harrison will face next in the UFC.
