Conor McGregor Bets $500K On Nate Diaz To Beat Jorge Masvidal In Boxing Fight

Conor McGregor has made a big bet on Saturday night's boxing match between Nate Diaz and Jorge Masvidal. The UFC star announced on social media that he has wagered $500,000 on Diaz to win. If Diaz wins, McGregor stands to earn $1,625,000.

"I've decided to put $500,000 on Diaz to win tonight's boxing match," McGregor shared. "Range, form, experience, solely hands being used, I can't see Masvidal causing any problems to Nate in a boxing ring whatsoever."

McGregor knows Diaz's fighting style well. The two have fought twice before in the UFC. Diaz won the first fight in 2016, but McGregor won the rematch later that year.

This fight, however, will be different since it's in a boxing ring. Both Diaz and Masvidal have limited boxing experience. Diaz's only professional boxing match was a loss to Jake Paul in 2023. Masvidal's last boxing match was in 2005, which he won.

Diaz's most recent fight was against Paul, while his last UFC match was in 2022. Masvidal last fought in 2023, losing to Gilbert Burns at UFC 287.

The two fighters have met before in an MMA match in 2019, where Masvidal won after a doctor's stoppage. Despite this, McGregor believes Diaz will come out on top in the boxing ring.
