Steph Curry Joins Exclusive $500M Club With LeBron James And Kevin Durant

Steph Curry has made history by becoming one of just three NBA players to earn over $500 million in contracts. 

The Golden State Warriors star signed a one-year, $62.6 million contract extension on Thursday, which keeps him with the team through the 2026-27 season.

This new deal puts Curry in elite company, alongside LeBron James and Kevin Durant, who have also crossed the $500 million mark in career earnings.

By the time their contracts end, Curry will have earned more than $500 million, surpassing Durant’s $504 million but still trailing LeBron's $584 million.

Curry's incredible career achievements back up these numbers. He has led the Warriors to four NBA Championships, earned 10 All-Star selections, won two regular-season MVP awards, and was named NBA Finals MVP in 2021-22. Over his career, Curry has averaged 26.4 points, 5.1 assists, and 4.5 rebounds per game.

With the Warriors losing Klay Thompson in free agency and facing salary cap challenges, the team will rely heavily on Curry in the coming seasons. The Warriors finished last season with a 46-36 record but were eliminated in the play-in tournament. As the competition in the Western Conference gets tougher, Curry will be crucial in keeping Golden State in the playoff race.
