Coldplay To Break Taylor Swift’s Wembley Record With 10 Shows

Coldplay will perform an amazing 10 nights at Wembley Stadium in London next summer, breaking the record previously held by Taylor Swift and Take That. The band first announced six shows for August 2025 but quickly added four more dates in September due to high demand during a fan presale.

General ticket sales start at 9 AM on Friday, September 27, with prices beginning at £20 (plus fees). Unlike some other artists, Coldplay has chosen not to use Ticketmaster's dynamic pricing, which changes ticket prices based on demand. Their website states that all ticket prices will remain at the advertised rates.

These concerts are part of their tour for their upcoming album, Moon Music, set to be released on October 4. In addition to Wembley, Coldplay will also perform two nights at Craven Park Stadium in Hull, with half of those tickets reserved for local fans.

This tour will mark Coldplay's only European dates for 2025, and they plan to donate 10% of the ticket proceeds to the Music Venue Trust, which helps support smaller concert venues in the UK.

Earlier this year, Coldplay headlined the Glastonbury Festival, where they were joined on stage by actor Michael J. Fox and other musicians, earning praise from critics and attendees alike. Tom Cruise, who watched from a VIP area, called the concert "awesome."

Frontman Chris Martin hinted that their upcoming album might be their last, but later clarified that they have plans for two more albums in the future. "We're going to make 12 albums... It's a lot to pour everything into making them," he explained.

Presale tickets for the 2025 tour sold out quickly, with some fans reporting that tickets were gone within 20 minutes of release. In response to the high demand, Coldplay added four extra Wembley dates.

With this 10-date residency, Coldplay will hold the record for the most nights played at Wembley in a single year, surpassing the previous record of eight nights held by both Taylor Swift and Take That.

In addition to the impressive number of shows, Coldplay is committed to reducing the environmental impact of their concerts, achieving a 59% reduction in carbon emissions compared to their last tour. They also offer £20 "Infinity tickets," which can be located anywhere in the venue, making it more accessible for fans.

For the Wembley shows, a pair of tickets will cost around £52 once all fees, including a £2.75 sustainability fee, are included.

Photo: Matt Heafy / Instagram   TRIVIUM’s Matt Heafy has spoken out about the early end of “The Poisoned Ascendancy” tour with Bullet For My Valentine. The two bands started the run earlier this year to honor the 20th anniversaries of “Ascendancy” and “The Poison.” Plans were made for a full world tour, but things stopped after just three months. TRIVIUM bassist Paolo Gregoletto said Bullet singer Matt Tuck pulled out, adding that he was the only decision maker for the band. Photo: Matt Heafy / Instagram   Bullet later shared a statement saying they respect TRIVIUM but wanted to focus on making a new album instead. In a new interview, Heafy said TRIVIUM wanted to keep going but their “dance partner dropped off.” He confirmed TRIVIUM will now push ahead with their own “Ascend Above The Ashes” tour this fall with Jinjer and Heriot.
