Georgina Rodriguez Says She Was Relieved When Cristiano Ronaldo Left Man United

Georgina Rodriguez, Cristiano Ronaldo's partner, admitted she felt “so relieved” when he moved from Manchester United to Al-Nassr. The couple has been together for eight years, having first met when Ronaldo played for Real Madrid.

After a stint with Juventus, Ronaldo returned to Manchester United in 2021. However, his time there was troubled. His contract ended shortly after he made serious claims about the team's manager and the club in an interview. Although he wanted to join a top European team, he accepted an offer of £156 million from Saudi Arabia’s Al-Nassr.

In the new season of her Netflix show, I Am Georgina, Rodriguez shared her happiness when Ronaldo told her about the move. “When Cris told me he was going to play for Al-Nassr, I was so relieved because I really wanted to leave Manchester,” she said. She felt that something exciting awaited them and was eager to move to Saudi Arabia.

Rodriguez also mentioned that adjusting to life in a new country was challenging. “It all happened so quickly,” she explained. “At the beginning, I had some ups and downs because we had never lived in a hotel for so long.” They stayed at the Four Seasons hotel in Riyadh, where they had a lavish suite and were joined by friends and family.

Now living in a house, Ronaldo's family enjoyed a hotel stay that cost over £250,000. Since moving to Al-Nassr, Ronaldo has excelled, scoring 63 goals in 70 matches. He started this season strong with three goals in four games and celebrated his 900th career goal during a recent international match against Croatia.
